Nicole Gordon (born May 19, 1976 in Evanston, Illinois) is a Chicago-based artist whose paintings draw on images from highly stylized scenic art, such as 19th century French wallpaper, and Medieval and Renaissance landscapes, to create anachronistic and often whimsical paintings with bright and vibrant colors. Her work is often mixed media, combining oil painting and encaustic techniques with more traditionally craft-associated materials such as glitter, and often incorporates installed sculptures that extend the paintings into the viewer's space. She is currently represented by the Peter Miller gallery in Chicago, and has work at the Spertus Museum in Chicago. In addition, she has produced public artworks for the Chicago Transit Authority and New England Biolabs. In 2002, she was awarded Best in Show at the Rockford Art Museum Midwestern Biennial. Nicole Gordon was born in Evanston, Illinois, attended New Trier High School, and received her BFA from the University of Michigan. ==External links== * * (Nicole Gordon's work at the Peter Miller Gallery in Chicago, IL ) 抄文引用元・出典: フリー百科事典『 ウィキペディア(Wikipedia)』 ■ウィキペディアで「Nicole Gordon (artist)」の詳細全文を読む スポンサード リンク
